Jurgen Klopp has again played down the possibility of Liverpool strengthening their midfield before the transfer window closes as the Reds continue to contend with injuries.
Thiago Alcantara limped off with a hamstring injury against Fulham on the opening day of the season, and is expected to be out for a number of weeks to add to Liverpool ’s injury woes.
And while Klopp admitted his squad have been stung by injuries, he hinted the Reds hierarchy have held transfer conversations - before insisting they will only strengthen their squad now in the unlikely scenario that the right player becomes available.
